Cleaning the Dryer Duct:

Now comes on how to clean the dryer Duct on our own at home. For which vacuum cleaner is must to have! Make sure to be sure to have all safety measures before planning Duct cleaning from roof. The must-have tools for this cleaning are – a helmet. A Soft soled shoes which will enable you to stand and walk on the roof and safety harness as an extra safety measure. Few simple tools like Scissors, Screwdriver, and Ladder.

Method 1:

If you are trying to clean it from the floor, make sure the vacuum is in blower mode and not suction mode. Connect the extension and blow out warm air through such that all the moisture. Dust and Grit get blown out to the roof. This is an easy cleaning one can do and every interval.

If you are trying to clean it from the roof. Make sure to unscrew the bent Duct. Remove the top guard part of the Duct and insert the vacuum hose with extension into the Duct. Set the vacuum to the suction mode and suck out the dirt, moisture, and grit. Before fitting the top guard of the Duct make sure to peel off the mesh of the guard and make sure no clog is there. You can use a Duct brush to clean the Duct top guard such as not to corrode the internal coating of it. You can also buy a Duct cleaner brush to make your cleaning experience easier. This will ease the process of removing lint and grit on both interior and exterior. Now fix the mesh back at its right place and secure it. Then tighten the Duct top guard at its place with the screws and secure it.

Make sure to have a have an assistant while following the second method. Ground the ladder on plane surface and make sure it is placed at an angle of 4:1. This will make the walk on ladder gentle and stress-free such as to boost confidence in walking on a sided roof easy. Remember to do this on a clear day.
